Attayak Aouda
We thought that something was needed to offer to tourists more interesting programmes than the usual two or three hour tour of the desert in 4x4, although we offer these too, going rather further into the desert than most people. We have always been specialists in adventure trips in Wadi Rum, taking people into the mountains and far from the usual routes. There are many possibilities for visiting Wadi Rum and we should like to think that the trips we have laid out have helped people to enjoy its beauty.
Our prices include just about everything : jeep transfers, guiding services and all meals. They do not, however, include the entrance fee to Wadi Rum. At the moment this is 2JD to be paid at the Visitors' Centre on arrival. We do not normally supply mineral water since the water in Wadi Rum is very pure.

We pride ourselves on how many of "our" people tell us that "Wadi Rum was the high point of our holiday", on how many of you email us or send us postcards when you arrive home - and on how many of you plan to come back to visit us again!
Certainly this company and its website are becoming very well known and all our programmes are very popular. It has become a victim of its own success, and it is more and more difficult for us to give our clients our individual attention when we have to choose between guiding jeep tours and the harder trips into the mountains.
We have therefore decided to separate and to run "Bedouin Roads" separately from "Wadi Rum Mountain Guides". Attayak Aouda will take "Wadi Rum Mountain Guides" and Attayak Ali will manage "Bedouin Roads" The website for the latter is now at www.bedouinroads.com
We truly love the desert, we have lived here all of our lives and we know it very well indeed. We are always very pleased when tourists ask us about it and our life there and we are happy to answer any questions you might have about the life of the Bedouin.
I work with an excellent team of guides; all of them are Bedouin from the local tribe and all of them speak good English. They are all anxious that you should enjoy yourself and see how beautiful Wadi Rum is. I cannot guide all the tours myself, much as I should like to.
Contact information
You can reach Wadi Rum Mountain Guides by phone at +962.795.834.736 (or 0795.834.736 from inside Jordan). This phone should always be answered by somebody speaking English - but please take note of the time differences - Jordan time is 3 hours ahead of GMT! We are available pretty late, but 2am in Jordan is too late even for us!
Normally an email would be answered within 12 hours, so we suggest that unless your question is complicated or urgent or both, you give priority to this option. You can send your mail to Wadi Rum Mountain Guides at attayak@rumguides.com. Predictably Attayak Aouda is often in the desert, but his phone is +962.795.834.736 and he has voice mail and can receive SMS messages.
